FAQ's
You're a stand-up comic turned Strategist?
Yes, I am! Strategy goes hand in hand with comedy which capitalizes on my ability to approach the world with curiosity and questioning the status quo. Looking for new perspectives and insights to change how others see their everyday experiences is what my mind is trained for, and that's exactly what I bring to the virtual & physical table.
As a creative, I have always worked closely with strategy and contributed new insights that often brought us award winning solutions. Besides contributing to the briefing process, I have also facilitated quantitative and qualitative research, conducted cultural and competitive analysis, and built many narrative decks to sell complex and simple ideas. After completing Publicis's Strat U and Julian Cole's Strategy Finishing School, I know I've found strategy to be an incredible calling for my mind. What do you do with comedy now?
Since the pandemic, I shifted my energy from performing to writing. After pursing stand-up comedy for six years and producing multiple shows in Chicago, I harnessed my comedic thinking and unique point of view to drive my advertising concepts to new heights. As a contributing writer for Cards Against Humanity, I have found great success writing spec scripts, original pilots and just about anything else that that comes across my desk. Understanding comedic structure, character dynamics, and tone has enabled me to be a stand out script writer at the agencies i've worked for.
If you'd like to see one of my live performances and a great example of how comedy and creative strategy intersect, please check out how I harnessed the data from my Tinder account to make dating more efficient, here.
